How To Use The Services
- Our Web Site will provide area resources online to those organizations seeking information.
It will offer information links on housing, food, clothing, daycare assistance from
area organizations. To use this a password is not essential. It is open to the public
and your church may refer anyone to this portion of the Web Site.
- We will also provide a secure clearing house with a password for your church to
access personal account information of those applying for benevolence. We are not
meant to be "spies". We are seeking to be better stewards of church resources
so that those in real need will be helped and those who wish to abuse such generosity
will be identified. What you do with the information is up to your church. ID for
those applying will be necessary for tracking purposes. That can be a WSDL, Social
Sec. #, State ID number. In case of none of the above, you may have to resort to
using an auto license number. We have had examples of one car being used for several
families as they go from church to church. Nothing wrong in that if they are needy,
but it does pose further questioning.
Once your church has joined and your contact person has received a password from
GGIA, then you will be able to access all the information provided. Note: The password
will change monthly, in order to sustain security. Those who have the passwords
will be notified of the change each month.
We do ask that you update your church information at least weekly if not more often.
You will see from the forms provided there is a report to be filled out each time
a non-church person applies for help from your church. Keeping us up-to-date is
important so that other churches may share in what is happening and identify those
who are applying. The form will explain the details needed.
- There is also a "Bulletin Board", which can be used to disseminate information
to all churches immediately. We suggest you use this for church functions that you
wish other churches to know about (prayer requests, anniversaries, special speakers,
other special events) so that the Body of Christ can be more unified. You may also
use it to alert churches of any particular "scam" that is obvious.
